The Young Conservatives are an online website that was created by David Ruffle and Josh Riddle in their freshman dorm room at Dartmouth College in May 2009. They are out on a mission to “Steer the country away from the false promises of progressivism and advocate a smaller government of moral absolutes and individual responsibility.” They attempt to complete this mission by obsessively uploading videos with articles attached to their website and continuously posting on their Facebook page named “The Comical Conservative” which they partnered with Aaron Windeknecht who originally founded The Comical Conservative, as well as a bunch of other conservative social media pages sharing their misleading stories of nonsense. Again on their website they try to justify that not all conservatives are ”Intolerant, racist, bible and gun clinging, corporate fat cats who could not care less about the environment nor the well being of their fellow man.” They call it “The moral obligation to intervene against those who abandon our founding father’s principles and embrace the comfortable, but descriptive of moral relativism, victim identification and outcome equivalence.”
This is all a clear lie if you simply take one glance at their webpage. All of these things are what the republican party has been explicitly advocating for without any sensor at all while simultaneously funding and voting for Trump in troves. The only never Trump movement on the right was very small and ineffective. Other than this “about me” page their is no attempt to do these things they claim to believe in. They have clearly jumped on the Trump train of disinformation. Or more accurately now “the right wing” disinformation train. Oh it’s a pain.
